Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans.
  2. Chronic Disease Management: Manage and monitor chronic health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, offering guidance and support for patients.
  3. Preventive Care: Promote and facilitate preventive healthcare, including vaccinations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
  4. Health Education: Educate patients and their families about healthy living, disease prevention, and self-care practices.
  5. Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.

Qualifications:

Tasks

  • Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments

  • Communicate health promotion, disease, illnes and accident prevention to patients
  • Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
  • Provide acute care management
