Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation of Vehicle:
- Operate a gravel truck to transport materials to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Material Handling and Delivery:
- Load and unload gravel and other materials at designated locations using truck-mounted equipment or other tools.
- Ensure accurate measurement and delivery of materials according to client specifications or job requirements.
- Manage the distribution of materials on-site to support construction or excavation activities.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on the truck, including oil changes, tire checks, and brake inspections.
- Report any mechanical issues, damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel or supervisor.
- Keep the truck clean and organized, ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly stored.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including load quantities, delivery times, and any issues encountered.
- Complete and submit delivery tickets, logs, and other required documentation as directed.
- Customer Service:
- Provide courteous and professional service to clients, addressing any questions or concerns related to deliveries.
- Follow instructions and coordinate with site supervisors or other personnel to ensure smooth delivery operations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Follow company and industry regulations related to the handling and transportation of materials.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to any roadside emergencies, including breakdowns or accidents, and take appropriate action as required.
- Coordinate with roadside assistance or emergency services if necessary.

- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Proficiency in operating gravel trucks and understanding of truck-mounted equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks such as loading and unloading materials.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision.
