Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation:
    • Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, following recipes and ensuring consistency.

    • Collaborate with the head chef or kitchen manager to plan menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.

    • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.

    • Address any issues with taste, texture, or appearance.
  5. Kitchen Organization:
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
    • Assist in inventory management and order supplies as needed.
  6. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with kitchen staff, including sous chefs and kitchen assistants, to coordinate cooking activities.
    • Communicate effectively with servers and other restaurant staff.
  7. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:
    • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment.
