As a Cable Installer Helper, you will assist experienced cable installers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems for residential and commercial clients. Your role will involve preparing work sites, handling tools and materials, and providing support to ensure efficient and effective cable installations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Installations:
- Support lead cable installers in installing and connecting cable lines, equipment, and components.
- Help with the setup of tools and equipment needed for cable installation tasks.
- Assist in running cables, securing them, and testing connections.
- Preparation and Maintenance:
- Prepare work sites by setting up ladders, safety equipment, and necessary tools.
- Handle and transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on installation progress.
- Address any customer inquiries or concerns under the guidance of lead installers.
- Site Clean-Up:
- Clean up work areas and dispose of any waste materials following installation tasks.
- Ensure that the job site is left tidy and free of debris.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing installation tasks.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow all safety guidelines.
- Documentation:
- Assist in completing installation reports and documentation as directed by lead installers.
- Document any issues encountered during installations and report them to supervisors.
- Learning and Development:
- Gain knowledge and skills related to cable installation and repair through hands-on experience and training.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in cable technology.

- Hold stakes during surveying activities
- Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public
- Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed
- Clean machines and immediate work areas
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or in the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
